I purchased the caiti embossed boot-- ( i had bilat foot surgery summer "11- and have since purchases 10 pairs of alegria shoes----they are sooo comfortable AND so stylish- i had to purchase a wristlet too! )      and these boots are so attractive on while giving great support to feet and ankles.   They are perfect for the light snow days we get in Michigan-  ( I also have taller alegria boots for the deeper snow)  
The leather is lovely- great quality- great price for good shoes. My orthopedic  surgeon was very impressed with the shoes!    A+++
