At Alegria Shoe Shop our goal is your satisfaction. If you are unsatisfied with your purchase, it may be returned within 30 days of purchase. Returns must be unworn, in the state you received them, and in the original packaging. We believe that in order to have the best possible online shopping experience, our customers should not have to pay for domestic return shipping of any full-priced items. Please email us at info@alegriashoeshop.com or call us at (888) 775-5655 to request a prepaid FedEx SmartPost shipping label for full-priced items being returned. Please include your full name and order number when contacting us through the contact form or when leaving a voice message. A return label will then be emailed to you within 1 to 2 business days.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will not be reimbursed. When shipping items back to our facilities, we recommend considering using a shipping service with tracking or purchasing shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee the receipt of your returned item without tracking information.
At Alegria Shoe Shop, we’re proud to be an American small business, and while we strive to keep our prices fair, we must recoup the excessive shipping costs associated with returns on closeout or markdown items in order to sustain our operations. We're dedicated to making your shopping experience as wonderful as possible with our 18 years of experience with Alegria and our expert advice. Unfortunately, we're unable to compete with the Amazons of the world with return policies and hope to stay in business. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and continued support.
Effective October 1, 2025, when returning sale or closeout shoes $9.50 per markdown pair or closeout pair will be deducted from your refund for restocking fees. Full price items are eligible for a full refund (via credit card, PayPal, or business check) of the purchase price. If both a full-priced item and a closeout / markdown are returned together on a prepaid FedEx shipping label, then a $12.50 return shipping fee (in addition to restocking fees) for the closeout / markdown will be deducted from your refund.
AlegriaShoeShop.com returns are easy:
- Returns are accepted within 30 days of purchase.
- Products must be resalable: in the condition you received them and in the original box and/or packaging.
- Any sign of wear and tear (e.g. discolored, dirty, or damaged outsole or insole, scuffed uppers etc.) will disqualify your return from receiving a full refund and may be returned to you.
- Return shipping is always free for full-priced items using our FedEx prepaid shipping labels (our prepaid labels are only available from shipments originating in the United States, HI, AK, PR excluded).
Once your return is received and inspected by our warehouse (usually within 72 to 96 hours of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 7 days. Please note that depending on your credit card company, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account. As part of our return policy, all returns will need to be received and processed by our warehouse within 30 days of purchase.
